UrbanDig Delphi

During the first semester of 2017, nine members of the theatre group of the Drama Department of the University of Patras inspired by Eva Palmer Sikelianos dug into the roots of the loom heritage in Delphi and Arachova and researched what is left of it today. They artistically worked with the research findings in rehearsals for a future performance. This all happened through four cycles of UrbanDig workshops in Athens and Delphi/Arachova supported by the European Cultural Center of Delphi. During the summer activities of the Center, in July 2017, the students through a live-art interactive promenade presentation shared with the guests (colleagues of the theatrical sector of Greece) the UrbanDig process they followed during the workshops. The students compiled and delivered to the Center an oral history and photographical archive on the local loom practice as well as their whole research on Eva's connection with this practice. They also delivered methodological tools from their UrbanDig process, namely a documentary and a calendar of the process.
